Everywhere inside the castle the letter "L" can be found - often two of them enterwined. These were of course a reference to Louis XIV- a statement made stronger by the reappearence of the "man in the sun" above the initials
The golden iron gates are adorned with a miniature of Louis XIV as the sun
This is probably one of the most obvious references to Louis XIV. The huge engraving portrays Louis XIV as a victorious Roman Emperor and is placed in the Salon of War
