Blue/Pink Attire of Louis XV

"Jeanne Poisson, Marquise de Pompadour"'s Louis XV wears this colourful set on the cover of the movie. The sky-blue coat is largely dominated by the huge embroideries on the chest and at the sleeves (you can just spot it at the right on the bottom). The embroideries are with silver thread and it would appear that they form large flowers, maybe peons.
The pink vest underneath is of a completely different pattern but is also sewn with a silver thread. The same pink colour also appears on the embroidery on the coat.
It seems strange that the neck lace is so small considering that it was at its height of its popularity during Louis XIV. The buttons are very strange with their almost brownish colour and white dots - they are the only thing that does not match the rest of the set.
