Another piece from "the Man in the Iron Mask" starring Leonardo diCaprio as Louis XIV. This style is more militaristic than the embroidered silk attires the King would normally wear. It seems that the King is wearing three layers (or maybe it's just shadow?): the coat, a black undercoat and the damask vest. The latter is very beautiful and despite the rather simple look it is definitely luxurious: the grey/brown fabric is buttoned with golden buttons to match the outer coat. Also, a chain with a golden clasp hangs across the King's waist; it is probably holding his sword. And of course there is the mandatory piece of fine white lace hung around the neck and tied with black velvet.
