Louis XIV in a Frame

Louis XIV's miniature is surrounded by no less than 92 diamonds! The diamonds are rose-cut and table-cut depending on their place on the pendant. It dates back to around 1670 and is the work of Laurent Tessier Montarsy. The miniature itself is on painted enamel while the diamonds are set in silver and enamelled gold. It is currently exhibited at the Louvre.
