Fashion

The outrageous fashions of the 18th century is one of the first things that pops into people's head when the word "Versailles" comes up. France was the leading lady in fashion; every court strove to copy the lavish styles pouring from Paris. The Queen of France was the undisputed fashion icon and was expected by both court and commoners to advance new trends and constantly show off the highest couture.
